SSW001 - Surround Sound Workshop

Total Hours: 12 / 6 days

Course Description:

Explore 5.1-surround sound music mixing as an expansion of conventional stereo, (and mono), mixing.  The techniques and tools are mostly the same, but subtle changes in approach can result in dramatically different outcomes. After learning about the technical issues and creative choices one encounters in mixing in surround, students will use ProTools in a workshop setting to mix a project in 5.1. The students will leave with their mix as well as calibration files that can be played back on their own DAW.
